Historic moment for the Wadeye Community

On Tuesday, the key educational personnel and stakeholders from Wadeye, convened in the legal offices of Arnold Block Liebler to celebrate success in their human rights action, lodged in 2007.

Tobias was the driving force behind the action, with quality support from Bowden McCormick, and Arnold Block Liebler. A large group of dancers and the Indigenous Leadership Team danced to celebrate the event.

Our boys ( Muluk,Chris,Gilly,Gabriel,Donatus) joined the dancers and it was fantastic to see them performing on such a special occasion.

to beat the discrimination. 

Arnold Bloch Leibler - a Melbourne Firm - together with Darwin lawyers Bowden McCormack, acted in the human rights claim on a pro bono basis. 

This new agreement will provide an additional $8 million in funding for education for the Wadeye community.
